The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad is to provide activities and experiences that enrich the lives of young people, inspiring and enabling them to reach their full potential. Every day the Boys & Girls Club serves children in Carlsbad in their two facilities through their after school and summer programs. As a child growing up in Carlsbad, I have fond memories of playing basketball and swimming with friends in the village clubhouse. I know we have all benefited or know someone that has benefited from their incredible after school programs and athletics. The club is 100% private donor supported and has an open-door policy in which no child is turned away, so we couldn’t think of a better organization to support.
Two years ago we started a program at Bell Family Dentistry to help us treat our patients in a more timely and efficient way, while also giving back to the Carlsbad community. The running program focuses on providing a $5 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad each time a new patient arrives on time for their initial appointment with their health history filled out in advance. To date, on behalf of our new and current patients, we have raised and donated $2100, and we will continue the program forever.
